VAISHNO DEVI TEMPLE

Vaishno Devi is a manifestation of the Hindu Mother Goddess, Devi. The words "Maa" and "Mata" are commonly used in India for mother, and thus are often heavily used in connection with Vaishno Devi. Vaishnavi was formed from the combined energies of Kali, Lakshmi, and Saraswati. Mata Vaishno Devi is a manifestation of Mother Goddess and is popularly known as Mata Rani and Vaishnavi. The Holy Cave of Mata Vaishno Devi is located at an altitude of 5,200 ft in the Trikuta Hills, which is known as the Bhawan.

SANASAR LAKE

BABA DHANSAR TEMPLE

Baba Dhansar Temple is located 15 km away from Katra on way to Salal Dam. A huge spring emerging from the rocks forms a number of small cascading waterfalls before flowing into the holy river that merges with the Chenab River. At Baba Dhansar Temple, devotees find a naturally formed Shivling. The holy place of Baba Dhansar is located at Karua Jheel near village Karua, 17 km from Reasi towards Katra in Reasi district of Jammu & Kashmir State, India. The approach involves a walk of 200 metres from the road.

The religious site of Charan Paduka in Katra is popular amongst pilgrims who visit Mata Vaishno Devi Cave Temple. This white temple is believed to be the place where Mata Vaishno Devi/Vaishnavi stopped over to check if she was still being chased by Bhairon Nath, the disciple of Mahayogi Guru Goraksh Nathji.
